Year 2009 is a year of LUG’s Anniversary. It is the opportunity to sum up its successes during past 20 years. This is the beginning of a new stage in LUG’s history – stage of the mature development with respect to innovation and market’s expansion as well.

In the year 1989 Mr. Czesław Wtorkowski and Mr. Ryszard Wtorkowski established the LUG company which has became one of the leading manufacturers of a professional luminaires and certainly has had impact on the luminaires sector during past 20 years.

During 20 years of its activity LUG has evaluated and changed legal form from the small family’s enterprise to Capital Group with solid market position. The most meaningful moment for the company was its debut on the stock market – NewConnect as well as the construction of modern headquarters in the Zielona Góra’s Economic Activity Zone.
Experience, new technology investments and continuous investment in human resources have made of LUG the creator of many illuminations in Poland as well as abroad, reliable business partner and solid employer for almost 300 employees.

Most important dates during 20 years of LUG’s history:

1989 - Civil partnership ‘LUG Czesław & Ryszard Wtorkowscy’ established
1990 - First shop with lighting equipment has been launched and further supply chain development
2001 – First luminaires according to own project left LUG’s assembly line
2007 - debut on the NewConnect Stock Market
2008 – year of significant investments – modern headquarters and realization of investment program
