Cornerstone laying ceremony at LUG’s new factory construction site.

A cornerstone laying ceremony was held on February 17th at the construction site of LUG Light Factory’s new production facilities.

During the celebration a time capsule containing the foundation act, a commemorative photograph of LUG’s Executive Board, a local newspaper and coins in different currencies were built into the foundations of the new facilities.

The celebration was attended by representatives of the local authorities including the President of Zielona Gora Mr. Janusz Kubicki, a Member of the European Parliament Mr. Dariusz Rosati and Members of the Executive Board of LUG Light Factory.

LUG’s new facilities which are being constructed in the Lubuski Industrial and Technology Park in Nowy Kisielin will employ about 100 professionals in a modern Research & Development Centre and electronics’ production halls. The investment, worth PLN 6 million, is the company’s next step towards increasing its production capacity and further development in the scope of modern LED lighting technology.
